  1. The executables for Info-ZIP's ZIP 1.0 export version were compiled
  2. using Borland C++ 2.0 in the small memory model.  The module im_lm.asm
  3. was used for increased speed.

  5. If you have any problems, I suggest compiling the source yourself -
  6. found in the file ZIP10EX.ZIP.  The source is known to compile on many
  7. different systems.  For MS-DOS, Borland C++ and Microsoft C will work
  8. just fine.  ZIP10EX.ZIP also contains the documentation for ZIP and its
  9. utilities.

  11. Files:
  12.         ZIP.EXE         Portable ZIP file archive utility.
  13.         SHIP.EXE        Encodes binaries for Electronic Mail, will
  14.                         split them up into small easily-mailable
  15.                         portions and 'unship' them easily.
  16.         ZIPNOTE.EXE     Helps manage ZIP file comments.
  17.         ZIPSPLIT.EXE    Split ZIP file archives into smaller ZIP file
  18.                         archives.  Useful if you cannot fit the whole
  19.                         .ZIP on a single diskette.
